The Ken-Katabami is a popular mon chosen by ancient samurai, as early as the Heian Period. This shokubutsu depicts a creeping “woodsorrel” (a durable, vigorous plant that spreads and multiplies quickly) which represents the prosperity and strength of ones descendants. The petals of the flower are separated by sword blades to show military strength.
This armor is handcrafted once you've made payment on your order. Custom sizing is available upon request for an additional charge. Custom sizing may add an additional 1 to 2 weeks to your order time.
Details: The armor is wearable and comes standard sized for a man with a 106cm chest (+/- 3cm), standing at 5' 8" tall (+/- 3”) and is fully functional. Available in two different quality levels: Kachi and Gashira. Gashira Class yoroi includes a free customary black lacquered box (Yoroi Bitsu) which, along with an included wooden frame, provides the support for the display and instructions. Kachi Class yoroi does not include the Yoroi Bitsu and maybe purchased separately using the drop-down menu option.
