Ii Naomasa's iconic yoroi has been meticulously handcrafted in detail, by our most skilled Artisan Kachushi in Japan.  Ii Naomasa (1561 – 1602), a Japanese general (Taisho) served under Tokugawa Ieyasu, a Daimyō who would later founded the Tokugawa Shogunate. Ii Naomasa served the Tokugawa Clan as one of its most trusted and able daimyō, and he and three of his comrades in the Clan became known as "The Four Guardian Kings" or "The Guardians of the Four Horizons".

Ii Naomasa also became known for the distinctive armor he adorned his troops in, and that he wore himself. Painted almost entirely in blood-red, Naomasa took his inspiration for this from the legendary Takeda Clan, aiming to make his warriors look fierce and intimidating. This tactic worked, and his troops became known as "The Red Devils", with their Naomasa himself being called Akaoni, or "Red Ogre".

The craftsmen of the Iron Mountain Armory have faithfully reproduced Ii Naomasa's distinctive armor, handcrafting it from scratch into something both beautiful and intimidating. The kabuto (helmet), trimmed with a white mane and capped with Naomasa's iconic lofty golden horns, is made up of three pieces, while the blood red armor itself is accented in yellow lacing, and the entire suit is lined with chainmail.

Includes free customary black lacquered storage box (yoroi bitsu) which, along with an included wooden frame, provides the support to display this beautiful armor. Instructions are also included.
