Date Masamune Kabuto

This wearable full sized Battle Samurai Helmet (Kabuto) with Mask (Mempo) is made and hand crafted by world renowned Paul Chen's Hanwei Forge. With it's black finished metal, brass head piece and colorfully decorated Neck Protector this is most definitely a mantel piece for any collection of Samurai Armor.

History: This full sized Japanese Samurai Battle Helmet AH2088 is a actual reproduction of the one worn by the famous daimyo Date Masamune (1566-1636). Succeeding his father at the age of 18, Date Masamune defeated rivals to become the ruler of much of northern Japan. He later became interested in Christianity, and sent an embassy to Europe headed by Hasekura Tsunenaga. When he died at the age of 70, he was renowned as a warrior, a diplomat, and a patron of the arts.

Features: Made from 22 gauge steel (Non-Combat), museum quality, leather insert with cloth lining and custom wooden stand. Metal construction with cord embellishment on the neck protector and mask. Although this helmet is wearable, it is for decoration only.
