The Gōruden Hotoke Gusoku (Golden Buddha Belly Samurai Armor) is a suit of armor handcrafted for a Daimyo or the Emperor himself.  The hotoke dou was popular through the Momoyama and Edo Period (16th ~ 19th Century) and is handcrafted from two, hand-rounded iron plates (front and back), giving the chest the shape of the "Buddha Belly". The Gōruden Hotoke Gusoku features copper trimmed plating and two genuine pony tails used for the hair.

As with all of our Daimyo Series samurai armor, the Gōruden Hotoke yoroi is made by the highest skilled craftsmen of the Iron Mountain Armory.

Details: The armor is wearable and comes standard sized for a man with a 106cm chest (+/- 3cm), standing at 5' 8" tall (+/- 3”) and is fully functional. Available in two different quality levels: Gashira and Taisho. Both classes include a free customary black lacquered box (Yoroi Bitsu) which, along with an included wooden frame, provides the support for the display and instructions.
